Adding a protection cage is a great way to extend the life of your hydrophone. Constructed from a strong polyurethane material with acoustic properties closely matched to both water and the hydrophone material, this cage avoids the resonant ringing found in metal designs. Additionally, the cage is designed to decrease flow noise as water moves past the hydrophone. This protection cage is easy to install and remove, and features a secure weighted bolt-on design.
