Acousande 3A Features & Specifications
The Acousonde™ 3A is s self-contained underwater acoustic recorder. Contains options for one or two hydrophones, sensors (for attitude, orientation, depth and temperature), a digital recorder, and a field-replaceable battery.
Attaches to a subject with suction cups or by other means. The Acousonde™ 3A measures the subject's sound environment as well as potentially associated behavior. Other options include deploying the instrument as an autonomous recorder suspended from a cable, placed on the seafloor, or housed in a remotely-operated vehicle.
Application examples include assessing the impact of noise on marine wildlife, and study vocalization behavior of the tagged subject.
